As of January 14, 2020, Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or support for PCs running Windows 7.

This means that computers running on Windows 7 will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. To avoid these risks, Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10.

What do you need to do?

The first thing to consider is upgrading to a newer operating system. For Windows 7 users, the easiest solution is upgrading to Windows 10.

Both operating systems are made by Microsoft, making the upgrade process simpler, resulting in less disruption to your business, and the interfaces are very similar so users shouldn’t find it difficult to adjust.

Of course, upgrading your OS sometimes leads to also needing a hardware refresh if it’s too old to run the new OS so this needs to be taken into account as well.
